Dr. Holly A. Tucker
Chiropractic Physician | Certified in Acupuncture | Certified Health Education Specialist | holistic parent | crunchy xennial
At age 16, Dr. Holly started to experience upper back pain. Her dad just happened to take her to the chiropractor first — and the rest is history! She decided to pursue a career in healthcare, and after experiencing chiropractic care herself, she knew this is how she wanted to help others! During chiropractic school (Logan University in St. Louis), she also studied acupuncture, nutrition, natural childbirth and healthcare advocacy.
Dr. Holly Tucker met her husband, Dr. Jude Miller, while attending Logan, and they went on to open “Active Family & Sports Chiropractic” in East Tennessee in 2012. They quickly became active community leaders in Roane County, serving on various boards, councils and community organizations. In 2018, they relocated to West Tennessee (Germantown), where Dr. Miller started a sports chiropractic training program at the University of Memphis.
During the pandemic, Dr. Holly offered house calls exclusively for moms, moms-to-be, and newborns, providing holistic healthcare services in the comfort of the family home. While Dr. Holly does not attend births, she is available to provide care in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy (treating back pain, sciatica), post-partum and breastfeeding mothers, as well as to newborns (torticollis, colic, trouble feeding, etc).
In 2022, their family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina — and Dr. Holly got to work to open a new practice in the Porter’s Neck area!
Hello, Azalea!
Moving to Wilmington gave Dr. Holly a chance to re-invent a new practice - a place just for women. With a focus on Women’s Health - Dr. Holly provides comprehensive chiropractic care, rehabilitative exercise guidance and acupuncture services.
We see women across the life cycle: from teenagers trying to manage hormonal shifts and growing bodies, women trying to conceive with optimal health, pregnant patients with common prenatal aches, and post-partum women learning to live in their new bodies. All are welcome.
Dr. Holly also cares for infants and children — birth is a very physical event, and the health of the spine starts before they are even born. Helping babies to develop the normal spinal curves, strengthen muscles used for posture and ensuring a full range of symmetrical motion is much easier to do when they are young!
Don’t worry — we do not discriminate here. All genders and ages are welcome at Azalea, we just happen to focus on Women’s Health.
