Chiropractic Physician | Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist | Educator | Healthcare Innovation Consultant
Dr. Jude Miller is a chiropractic physician, sports medicine specialist, and healthcare educator with extensive experience delivering evidence-based, integrative musculoskeletal care across clinical, academic, and hospital-based settings. His work sits at the intersection of patient care, clinician education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emerging healthcare innovation.
Dr. Miller currently practices within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he provides comprehensive, non-pharmacologic care for complex musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions as part of an interdisciplinary, Whole Health–oriented team. His clinical approach emphasizes functional restoration, performance optimization, patient education, and conservative management strategies grounded in current best evidence. He is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®), Internationally Certified Sports Chiropractor (ICSC), certified medical examiner, and trained in integrative dry needling and acupuncture-informed care.
In parallel with his clinical work, Dr. Miller is the founder of MSK Matters, a continuing education and professional development platform dedicated to advancing evidence-based musculoskeletal care for healthcare professionals. MSK Matters focuses on translating research into practical clinical decision-making, emphasizing integrative, conservative, and interdisciplinary approaches to spine, sports, and extremity conditions. Through this platform, Dr. Miller develops educational content, clinical frameworks, and micro-credential–style learning experiences designed for chiropractors, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other musculoskeletal-focused clinicians.
Dr. Miller is deeply involved in healthcare education and faculty development. He serves as a chiropractic clerkship site director and clinical mentor, supporting students and early-career clinicians from multiple academic institutions. He teaches and designs asynchronous coursework in sports medicine and clinical education, contributes to faculty development initiatives, and consults on curriculum design, competency-based education, and evidence-based practice integration. His educational philosophy centers on producing clinically confident, collaborative, and systems-aware healthcare professionals.
Previously, Dr. Miller served as faculty at Logan University as an Advanced Practice Clinician and was the full-time onsite chiropractic physician for the University of Memphis athletic programs, providing comprehensive sports medicine services to NCAA Division I athletes. During this time, he also supported postgraduate sports medicine residency training and supervised chiropractic interns in high-performance clinical environments.
Dr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science in Health & Human Performance (Exercise Science) from the University of Tennessee at Martin, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, a Master of Science in Sports Science & Rehabilitation, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University. He achieved board certification in sports chiropractic through the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians in 2013. His postgraduate education includes advanced training in sports medicine, geriatrics, multidisciplinary pain management, dry needling, acupuncture-informed care, and clinical nutrition.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Miller owned and co-owned multidisciplinary sports and performance clinics and served for seven years as the chiropractic team physician for a collegiate athletics program. He has also taught a wide range of health and human performance courses, including athletic injury care and prevention, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, wellness, and emergency response training.
Dr. Miller’s clinical training includes rotations within VA medical centers and exposure to neurology, orthopedics, surgery, radiology, vascular and interventional specialties, and interdisciplinary pain management—experiences that shaped his collaborative, systems-based approach to care.
In addition to his clinical and educational work, Dr. Miller has a growing professional focus on artificial intelligence in healthcare, particularly its application to clinical decision support, medical education, documentation efficiency, and scalable knowledge translation. He is actively integrating AI-informed workflows into educational and clinical environments, with the goal of improving care quality, clinician efficiency, and learning outcomes while maintaining a strong evidence-based and patient-centered foundation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller has over 20 years of experience practicing and teaching martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Hapkido, and other disciplines. This background continues to inform his appreciation for movement quality, resilience, and lifelong physical development.
“Working across hospital systems, private practice, athletics, education, and emerging healthcare technologies has reinforced the value of integrative, team-based care—and the role clinicians play in shaping the future of modern healthcare.”
