Those early years in your chiropractic career, nothing could be further from your mind than…... retirement. But you *may* be wrong!

From Day and Dollar 1 - we need to be intentional! But how?

I know what you are thinking: the student loans are the most important. Or capital for starting a new business. Paying rent. EATING (enter broke college student mindset). Maybe you have a family to support -- so they come first. YES.

You will have many conflicting priorities. Always. That’s life.

But if I could challenge you… priority is meant to be a singular concept. ONE priority. Nothing else can be on top. So what gets to be?

Your future.

The time you spend today you will never get back. That is why it is so vital to hone in on HOW you want to spend your time -- your WHY of all of this -- being in this profession, being a professional, being a business owner, etc. While simultaneously wearing all the other hats -- wife, mom, daughter, friend.

Getting clear on your Numbers {specifically cash flow} in business will cascade so many other “priorities” and decisions.

Step One: Make a Profit. Step Two: Pay Yourself*.

*Included in paying yourself is also saving for the future. Retirement plans. Use them to your advantage -- time is on your side. If you feel like it is too late or “I wish I had years ago” -- STOP right now and do it. I’m not asking you to become a day trader, but find someone who can help you get a retirement plan that works for you in place and start. Even $100/month adds up!
